Being the son of an IT pro, I started using computers in the late 80s when I was a toddler. I have worked in nearly every facet of IT at small and large companies alike. I settled on cybersecurity, and ultimately application security, because it is an endless challenge where I can employ all of the knowledge and skills I have acquired over my lifetime and career. From coding utilities, finding or learning new attack vectors, reverse engineering malware, penetration testing, fixing bugs, to mentoring the younger generation of ethical hackers and cybersecurity engineers, I feel guilty to be so lucky to get paid doing the thing I enjoy most and am forever grateful for it.
